Gizmo’s Family Day Care has been providing high-quality child care in Pacific Pines since 2010. We proudly service the Pacific Pines, Oxenford and Maudsland areas. We are experienced with children from 0-5.

Our Program
Our school-readiness program is designed to provide your child with an individualised learning experience. With a focus on all the skills and knowledge they will need to excel in prep and beyond.

Our Philosophy
At Gizmo’s Family Day Care we believe that every child is unique and special. We also believe that every child should have the opptunity to explore the world on their own terms. Our goal is to foster a child’s natural curiosity through play.

At Gizmo’s Family Day Care I focus on providing a caring and loving environment similar to what you would find at home. This is achieved by only have 4 pre-school aged children per day. Based in Pacific Pines area, right across from Jubilee Primary School, Gizmos Family Day Care is easily accessible to parents from Pacific Pines, Oxenford or Maudsland.
When I was working in a large centre my main challenge was having one-on-one time with each of the children in my care. I found that with large class sizes this was simply not possible. In my Family Day Care I am able to observe and plan appropriate learning goals for each child as an individual.
What our families have to say!
Having mixed ages from 2-5years means the kids can mostly play together and activities are similar. My son has learnt from copying older ones and teaching younger ones. He has learnt lots of things from Miss Katie I never thought he was capable of – until he showed me! Now, he is well and truly school ready and confident.
I have observed Miss Katie to be open to feedback and ideas of parents and incorporate these into the days play. It is clear to me that my child’s individual interests sometimes lead the play activities that day – be that a favourite book from home, a favourite animal of the moment or how to draw rockets!
In 2 years, my son has only missed a 1 days due to sickness. I attribute this partly to the hygienic environment and practices at Gizmo’s. My assumption that there should be less illness in a small group has proved accurate.
Mostly, I am grateful to Miss Katie for the loving personal attention she gives my son. She is mature beyond her years and a well-balanced young lady with oodles of energy for the kids. I feel confident leaving my precious cargo in her hands and I have happily sent my second child there in 2013.
